About Da Lusso

Jacob Scherer
Jacob Scherer
Jacob Scherer began working in the San Francisco Design district designing custom furniture, lighting and accessories. He worked one on one with designers and architects to create unique one of a kind pieces for their projects. After years of working in the manufacturing side Jacob accepted a position as assistant for Heather Kearsley in Sonoma, California. Together they worked on an array of high-end homes and hotels. At 25, Jacob worked at Wroolie & Company in the San Francisco Design Center and after four years of being top in sales and assisting designers, started one of the top home staging/design companies in the Peninsula and South Bay, Da Lusso Design. Jacob has completed projects for some of the bay area’s most successful people. His portfolio includes complete designs working with architects from ground up to large remodel projects. Jacobs understanding of construction and materials gives him an unique ability to not only come up with amazing ideas but also a plan to implement with the builders and manufactures. In 2007 Jacob decided to partner with his long time friend, Robert W. Miller, to open Miller Design Co. Together they collaborated to construct the new Miller Design Co. design studio located in the heart of downtown Woodside. Today Jacob enjoys a life of design and staging and his unique taste and impressive sense of style can be found in some of the most unique projects around.

Rebecca Collins
Rebecca Collins
Rebecca Collins received her bachelor degree from U.C. Davis in the unrelated field of Nutrition, but later her love of interiors and furniture led her to pursue interior design training at Canada College. During her time in design school Rebecca was involved in the student ASID (American Society of Interior Designers) and was voted vice president of that organization for two separate years. She also received awards for the excellence of her class work in Graphics for Interiors, Professional Practices and Bath Design. A year later Rebecca and a partner founded the staging company Room Designs which she operated for eight years. In 2010 Rebecca combined her Room Designs inventory with that of Da Lusso Design and became part of the Da Lusso staging team. She also enjoys serving clients on a variety of interior design projects.
